Organization: Centre for international Migration and Development
Country: Nigeria
Closing date: 25 Nov 2015

Do you want to put your know-how and skills to use where they are needed? Do you want to work abroad and experience different cultures? Then the ****Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM)**** is your ideal partner for finding a responsible position in the field of development policy. We place highly qualified staff with employersin Asia , Africa, Latin America and Europe.

****We are looking for you:****

The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) requires your expertise to achieve accreditation as a national partner of Transparency International (TI). Corruption is widespread in Nigeria. While there are individual organisations within civil society addressing the issue, the size of the country and the problem’s complexity mean that their activities are fragmented. Consequently, there is a need for a coordinated approach to tackling corruption. CISLAC intends to develop such an approach in consultation with other civil-society organisations. The current political and social climate would seem to be conducive to this, with the new government under President Buhari having made the fight against corruption one of its key priorities.

****Your tasks will involve:****

  • Assisting with the establishment and implementation of a framework for coordinating activities of civil-society cooperation partners
  • Helping to train local experts so they can contribute to global reports and studies by Transparency International
  • Delivering training
  • Helping to secure funding

****Your profile:****

  • University degree in political or social science, or another relevant qualification
  • Several years' professional experience of anti-corruption work in civil-society and state institutions
  • Experience in acquiring funding
  • Fluent business English
  • Basic French would be an advantage
  • European Citizenship (due to the regulations of our program)

****What we offer****
